Add Domain to Resend
Section titled “Add Domain to Resend”First, log in to your Resend Account and add a domain.
Log in to IONOS
Section titled “Log in to IONOS”Log in to your IONOS account:
- Choose your Domain from the
Domainlist. - Select the
DNStab to get to the page to manage DNS records.
Add MX SPF Record
Section titled “Add MX SPF Record”Select “Add record” on IONOS to copy and paste the values MX from Resend.
- On the
Add a DNS Recordpage, selectMX. - Type
sendfor theNameof the record. - Copy the MX Value from Resend into the
Points tofield. - Use the default
Priorityof10. - Use the default TTL of
1 hour. - Select
Save.
Below is a mapping of the record fields from Resend to IONOS:

Add TXT SPF Record
Section titled “Add TXT SPF Record”In the same section, select “Add record” again.
- On the
Add a DNS Recordpage, selectTXT. - Type
sendfor theHost nameof the record. - Copy the TXT Value Resend into the
TXT valuefield. - Use the default TTL of
1 hour. - Select
Save.

Add TXT DKIM Records
Section titled “Add TXT DKIM Records”In the same section, select “Add record” again.
- On the
Add a DNS Recordpage, selectTXT. - Type
resend._domainkeyfor theHost nameof the record. - Copy the record value from Resend into the
TXT valuefield. - Use the default TTL of
1 hour. - Select
Save.

Receiving Emails
Section titled “Receiving Emails”If you want to receive emails at your domain, toggle the "Receiving" switch on the domain details page.
Select “Add record” on IONOS:
- On the
Add a DNS Recordpage, selectMX. - Type
inbound(or whatever your subdomain is) for theNameof the record. - Copy the MX Value from Resend into the
Points tofield. - Use the default
Priorityof10. - Use the default TTL of
1 hour. - Select
Save.

Complete Verification
Section titled “Complete Verification”Now click Verify DNS Records on your Domain in Resend. It may take a few hours to complete the verification process (often much faster).
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”If your domain is not successfully verified, these are some common troubleshooting methods.
Resend shows my domain verification failed.
Review the records you added to IONOS to rule out copy and paste errors.
